When the Clean Energy DC Act became law on January 18th, DC’s star rose even further as a national leader in clean energy. The ambitious law puts DC on track to run on 100% clean energy by 2032, creates incentives for people to buy fuel-efficient vehicles, and pushes existing buildings to go green. What do these and other measures mean? And what was the role of grass-roots advocates in getting this law on the books?
